As a teacher ofcollege English, English teaching has always been my major concern andinterest. In China, almost all the college students take English as a requiredcourse, generally for one or two years. Therefore, for both students’ academicperformance and further study, English learning plays a very important role intheir college study. Quite a number of reforms of English teaching has beencarried out, and like lots of other teachers, I have tried and explored variousteaching methods, especially teaching methods for non-English major students,who are from different specialties, having different situations. From mypoint of view, studying and exploring English teaching theories and puttingthem into practice should be a lifelong pursuit for English teachers.
